1 Scope
1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements for materials used for vulcanized solid rubber sealing rings for water supply and drainage systems, drain pipes, sewers and rainwater pipes, all at ambient temperature including gas connections. It covers joint rings for all pipeline materials including iron, steel, stonewares, asbestos-cement, concrete, pitch fibre, plastics and glass reinforced plastics.
1.2 This standard does not cover dimensional and joint design requirements.
