National Foreword
This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 4833 : 1991 `Microbiology - General guidance for the enumeration of micro-organisms - Colony count technique at 30°C' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Food Microbiology Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.
