REVISION OF ISO 9001:2000

 

 

 

ISO 9001:2000 – ‘Quality management systems – Requirements’ was prepared by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 176, Quality Management and Quality Assurance, Subcommittee SC 2, Quality Systems.  Bureau of Indian Standards represents India as participating member on this committee.

 

The ISO 9001:2000 standard was adopted by the BIS as IS/ISO 9001:2000 on the recommendation of BIS Quality Management Sectional Committee (MSD 2) and approval of the BIS Management and Systems Division Council.

 

The ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 176, Quality Management and Quality Assurance, Subcommittee SC 2, Quality Systems has taken up revision of the existing ISO 9001:2000 standard.  The draft International Standard ISO/DIS 9001 ‘Quality management systems – Requirements’ as revised has been circulated for comments.  The draft document is attached alongwith a template for sending comments.
